I absolutely love to dress in layers. I’m most comfortable under a tank top, a t-shirt, and a cardigan, bonus points if at least one of those garments is extra-long. Summer always tends to put a wrench in this preference, as it gets up to over 100 degrees where I live. I’ve started experimenting with ways to incorporate layers without subjecting myself to heat stroke.

1. Sleeveless Dusters

I love wearing sleeveless duster coats like this Blush Sleeveless Duster Coat and this Sleeveless Military Duster Coat with a pair of capris, a t-shirt, and some sandals. I have a few in this style, including a hooded version that is really nice to have on rainy days.

2. Go Sheer

I really love the idea of pairing a sheer shirt like this Tulle T-shirt with a contrasting camisole to accentuate the layered effect.

Sheer Chiffon Bolero Shrug

The bolero shrug is a wardrobe staple and by keeping it sheer, you can enjoy wearing it all year long. This would pair nicely with a spaghetti strap A-line sundress.

3. Fake It

Faux layers are a great way to get the look without adding on stuffy extra fabric. This Layered Tunic Top and Layered Tunic Dress incorporate sheer layers, making them even more lightweight.

I hope all you layer-lovers out there were able to get some inspiration for the upcoming hot months. On Friday, I will be giving you some tips on how to give yourself a facial at home.
