Happy Friday, I’m back with the second half of my quick and easy summer skin care routine. As I spoke about in the A.M. post, it is important to adapt your skin care routine to the changing seasons. My night time routine is focused on cleansing and treating my skin concerns and I recommend that you take a similar approach.
I’ve been using this Dermadoctor Kakadu C Cleanser for a little over a month now and I’m very pleased with the results. I’ve seen a noticeable difference in my skin’s texture, with fewer flaky patches and blackheads. This is gel-based cleanser which means it can work for all skin types. I have dry, sensitive skin and I don’t find it to be drying or irritating. It contains vitamins C and A, as well as AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids, a type of enzyme exfoliation).
About once a week you should exfoliate, then mask. Perform these steps after your cleansing step.
I’m truly in love with this Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar Moisturizer. I leaves my skin feeling silky, moisturized, but not greasy. It is hard for me to find a moisturizer that is heavy enough, so I purchased the Dry formulation, however, the original formula is for all skin types. Many of those with oily or combination skin types neglect to moisturize despite the fact that moisturizing can actually reduce oil production. Never skip this important step!
To finish off this quick and easy routine, apply some eye cream. I am partial to the Yes to Blueberries Eye Firming Treatment because it is moisturizing as well as addressing fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes. I also enjoy their Yes to Coconut Eye Cream because it is super hydrating. Find the best eye cream for your concerns and apply it just before bedtime.
I hope you found this tutorial useful. I’ll see you on Monday when I review my AHAVA skin care haul.
